Day 1 - Arrival in Delhi
Upon arrival you will be met by a driver who will escort you to your hotel in Delhi.

 

Day 2- Delhi to Hardwar
Set off for Haridwar arriving around noon. Check into the Mohyal Ashram, an ideal ashram for yoga courses, located on the Haridwar-Rishikesh highway. Time to refreshen up before a tour around the ashram and a discussion of the itinerary for the days to follow. After lunch (Ayurvedic meals will be served throughout your stay), meet your yoga and meditation teacher followed by an introductory session of yoga/meditation. In the evening we'll visit Harki Pauri, for the famous Ganga Aarti ceremony and floating of diyas on the Ganges. Return to the ashram for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 3 - Hardwar
Start the day with an early morning stroll to the Holy Ganges river where the first session of yoga will be held on the banks led by the learned yoga instructors, who will explain the benefits of the different yoga postures and the art of achieving physical and mental harmony. After breakfast there will be a meditation class, followed by a discussion on a topic of the day. Buffet lunch will be served at 1.00 pm followed by time to relax.

 

Afternoon activities may include an ashram visit to meet one of the famous gurus or an opportunity to receive ayurvedic therapies (massage and reiki) under the guidance of specialised ayurvedic physicians, masseurs and a reiki master. Yoga and meditation at 5.00 pm for one hour. In the evening around sunset we'll head to another of the Ganga Aarti ceremonies at Trevini Ghat, Harki Pauri or Parmarth Niketan or possibly enjoy a Bhajan recital organised at our ashram or one of the others nearby. Ayurevedic dinner and overnight at the Ashram.

 

Day 4 - Dhanaulti
After yoga and breakfast we'll drive (125 km) to the Hotel Crown Plaza (situated at 2250 m) at Dhanaulti. Here, there'll be time to relax and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area and the whispering pine forest, followed by lunch. At 4 pm there will be a meeting with our Ayurvedic Physician, under whose supervision and guidance the Kriyas (procedures) are carried out. In the evening there will be a Renaissance Meditation and Energy Healing class followed by dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 5
Early morning, wake-up with tea in bed, followed by a morning walk in the freshness of the Himalayan Mountains for before pausing for Yoga & Renaissance Meditation as on days 2/3. Rest for an hour, followed by Rejuvenation therapy. This treatment includes body massage with hand or feet by the therapists with medicated oil and cream, internal rejuvenation medicines and some times a steam bath or steamed towel. This therapy lasts for between 45 minutes and an hour. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 6/7 - Rishikesh
This morning, after breakfast we'll drive to drive to Rishikesh, the Yoga Capital of the world (121 kms away) where we'll stay at a very special camp surrounded by the tranquillity of the Himalayan foothills and nestled on a silver beach on the banks of the river Ganges.

 

Meditation class at the Ganga Silver Sand beach, followed by a discussion or lecture on the topic of the day. After lunch there will be time to relax, explore the natural surroundings of the camp or to enjoy some kayaking, swimming, water polo, beach ball or volleyball. At 4 pm there'll be a one hour yoga and meditation session. Evening free to visit the spectacular Aarti ceremony at Parmarth Ashram.

 

Day 8
Morning schedule will be as days 6/7 but in the late afternoon we'll board the Shatabdi Express train reaching Delhi around 10.30 pm. Overnight at hotel in Delhi.

 

Day 9
Trip ends

Trip ends or leave for an onward journey to Agra or Rajasthan (at extra cost).

NOTES
During yoga classes we will provide -

 

Introduction to yoga (aims, do's and don'ts etc.)


Lecture and demonstrations of asanas, pranayam, pratnjhara, shatkarmas, mudras, bandhas.

 

On one of the days between 2-4 we will also have a 2 hour Hatha yoga session at the Yoga Academy.

Naturopathic physicians can be provided on demand (at an additional charge) for treatments which can be carried out within the daily schedule.

 

On one evening we will arrange for a special aarti (prayer) to be conducted privately for you in which you can personally take part and even have it done in your own/family members/ancestors names.

 

We also have packages for Panchkarma (Kerala Ayurevedic Panchkarma Treatments) available for 7, 14, 21 & more days on demand).

 

Wildlife safaris or rafting on the Ganges river (suitable for novices) can also be arranged at an additional cost depending on the number of particpants.
